Full Moon Party is an enormous party organized during every full moon night (on Koh Phangan there are also a dark moon and half moon party : you can check out anywhere on the island), on the beach of Hat Rin, situated on the east end of the island of Koh Pha-Ngan (Samui Archipelago, north of Koh Samui).
It began about ten years ago with a group of tourists seating quietly on the beach and who thought that the best place to admire the full moon was on Koh Pha-Ngan. Nowadays it gathers together between 7,000 and 10,000 revellers each month and it has the reputation to be the biggest "party" of Asia
The techno amateurs will be delighted, you will be able to bustle around on the frenzied rhythms of the last hit of the moment and this until dawn
How to get there?
Going there from Koh Samui it is easy, no problems, many boardings for advertisement become visible in front of travel agencies a few days before the party and you will be able to get yourselves a speedboat return ticket (departure at the end of day, and return at dawn) and transfer by minibus from your hotel to pier inclusive, from any travel agency.
Finding an accommodation
On Hat Rin Beach, it is very difficult to find a bungalow some days before and after Full Moon Party.
Anyway, it doesn't matter since you can anticipate the lack of lodging during the party by booking an accommodation which will match your needs, in advance
